DUMB QUESTIONS THAT EVERYONE ASKs...
Why would I watch a concert in a video game?
What do you mean ‘in a video game?’ Like Fortnite?
I’m an artist, why would I want to do this?
Are these live or pre-recorded concerts?
This seems pointless, why wouldn’t I just go to the concert, in person?
Why are you trespassing on video games?

Uhm, well one reason is because you’re between 12 & 15 years old, which means you don’t have any money or can’t drive to concerts without your parents taking you. Another reason is that you live far as shit from the concert venue, sometimes in an entirely different state or country. Maybe you’re a fan of artists that can’t afford to tour? Maybe you have social anxiety? Maybe you’re afraid of getting shot (Vegas), bombs going off (Ariana Grande in Manchester), or trampled to death (Travis Scott). Maybe you’re disabled, and there are no accommodations for you. Maybe you’re priced out by high ticket costs. Maybe the sound engineers at every concert you go to suck, and you want to change the levels of the vocals, guitars, or drums. Maybe you don’t want to be limited to nosebleed seats?
Want me to keep going?
Well, sort of yeah and so much more! Think about it like this, Fortnite cares about who? Fortnite, right? So they don’t really prioritize concerts. Yeah, they have one big mega-star a year but in reality they make so much friggen money off their actual video game, that doing concerts is a super low priority. Also, what about alllll the other artists, the non-megastars that can’t afford to tour around the world? Should’t they have a space to perform?
Our environment is DEDICATED to the concert experience. In Fortnite or Minecraft, you just watch, but here you can go up to the merch table, go to the sound booth and change elements, and even hangout backstage with the artist!
We have so many more features planned, but we don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves.
First of all, CONGRATS! Being an artist is hard work and art is important to the world. We truly admire any person that decides that they feel like they have something worth saying that they want the world to hear! We’re rooting for you.
Now, the ‘why’ is simple. Because it’s cool as shit! Also, we prioritize you making money. On our platform, you will profit off of every ticket purchased for your specific show & every piece of merchandise you sell. Yeah, that’s right, this is digital merchandise that costs you ZERO dollars to create! Plus, since your concerts live forever here, you can create little ‘Easter Eggs’ to hide inside the game, that can give your fans real world benefits. You can also tell your fans, ‘Hey, i’m going to be hanging out in my concert, come say hi!’
The coolest part though? Here, your creative vision has no bounds. Want to fly? Done. Want to change outfits instantly? Done. Want to explode into a million pieces and come back together?? Yep, we can do that.
The only limit is your imagination.
Ok, we want the premieres to eventually be live but here’s the process for now. We bring you (the artist) into a soundstage, where using motion capture technology and standard audio recording software, we record both your motion and your audio. Ya know, like an actual performance.
We then animate that performance, get your approval on it, and then publish it inside the video game. It has a premiere set, similar to YouTube, that you can join during it’s scheduled release. After that, the concerts live forever in the platform. One day, as technology gets better, live WILL happen. That too will be cool as shit!
B***h, we ain’t dumb. We know that concerts will always be more fun. Nothing can replace that, and we’re not trying to be a replacement. However, all of you dinguses will film the concerts on your cellphones but how many times will you rewatch that? You always say things like ‘ugh, I wish I could go back and re-live that concert again.’ Well, here... you can!
Also, what happens if your favorite artist dies? This would be the only place their concerts would live on. Lastly, I know you’re probably too young to know what a DVD is but Concert DVDs used to be a thing, a very very big thing!
Truth be told, there’s no good answer here. We don’t want to encroach on your territory but we gotta give credit where credit is due. The video game world has become so incredibly life-like and immersive that it simply seems like the logical move.
Plus, to be totally fair we aren’t technically a ‘game’ we are just concerts that live inside of a gaming environment. What we’re trying to say is that we know Ready Player One is the future, and we want to be the concert venue you trust in that inevitable world.
